Tennessee Special Session Adjourned Without Passage of Red Flag Laws

The special session of the Tennessee General Assembly ended Tuesday afternoon, as lawmakers in the House and Senate voted to adjourn.

Despite calls from Gov. Bill Lee (R) for lawmakers to bring him a red flag law bill, no such bill was passed.

And naturally, the fat mouthed liberals from Memphis had to 'act out' once again.

Pearson's talking about pressing charges for assault against the Speaker because he got in the Speaker's face and got bumped back.

*****

Just as I predicted - no Red Flag law would be passed. Fuck you, Billy Lee.

  1. Waste of our money. But that's what they do best.

  4. OTOH, we got a sales tax exemption for gun safes and other "gun safety" gear. I was so eternally tired of seeing that legislation come up and get shot down for the past few years.

  6. The temper tantrums these libs are throwing is telling - they absolutely were the petulant child throwing a fit in the cereal aisle at the grocery store.
"We are being suppressed/not being heard" or some interpretation is the common refrain I hear. Except its false, you didn't get suppressed, you were heard. You threw a fit like a child and demanded a 'special session' just to satisfy you snowflakes. So we had one, just for you (the other 9 months of legislative session wasn't good enough apparently?) You presented your bills, debate was had, it was decided We The People didn't like your ideas, so they didn't pass. You were not suppressed, you just weren't very convincing. You had a chance to be heard. What you are feeling now is called 'failure', there are no participation trophies in life.

Its time to stop mollifying and coddling these children. Exit the store, spank the ever living shit out of them in the parkinglot, ground them from tv for a month, and make them do all the dishes every day for 2 weeks.
Fucking crybabies... and while we're at it, spank their parents, too, for fucking them up when they were kids!

  7. Amen. The repubs held the line, the Dems behaved like spoiled children, and Billy Lee got egg all over his face. The vast majority didn't want anything done. Lee, who's a squish and an opportunist, saw a chance to grandstand. He's done it before, he'll do it again, but he's outa here when this term ends and he ain't goin' nowhere.

    1. It would have to be Arkansas, 'cause Miz-sippi won't take it.

  9. No red flag laws passed...this time. But the left never gives up...ever. They will keep trying g over and over every legislative session till they succeed. The left has one huge advantage over conservatives.... persistence. They never quit.

  10. It looks like some commonsense democrat control legislations are needed before they become violent.

  11. Let me reiterate myself once again, red flag laws are based on the presumption of guilt. Not just that but the presumption of future guilt.
