Gavin Newsom signs bills to enhance the state's protections for LGBTQ+
California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed several bills Saturday aimed at bolstering the state's protections for LGBTQ+ people, a day after issuing a controversial veto that was criticized by advocates.
And by "enhanced protections" they mean "instead of performing our actual function as a governing body, we're going to fiddle around for way too long, spend entirely too much money, listening to people that have their heads even further up their asses than we do, in order to virtue signal, AGAIN, to provide codification of special rights, for less than 2% of the population, that nobody else has, nor should anyone, then pat ourselves on the back until we need shoulder replacement surgery".
I am a Christian, with Christian values. Part of that includes not judging people for what they do, so long as it doesn't affect others. The whole problem with this sort of legislation is that it forces the values of a small subset of people onto the majority. I know a few gay people, and have never had any issue with a single one of them. I actually believe that some males are born with a more feminine mentality, while some females are born with a more masculine mentality. We all know the types from as far back as school, where there was the guy who hung out with the girls but not as a woman chaser, but as a friend who didn't threaten them. And of course the Tomboy girl, who was a superb athlete, who got along extra well with the woman's gym teacher. That is not the type of thing that the left is pushing today. Now they have made it such that it is cool for girls to identify as lesbian, when they never have had any proclivities that way in their life. Or the pan sexual thing, whatever the hell that is. The reason that I mentioned the Christian part is that sin is sin, and we all know that while we may not have the problem of sexual impurity in our lives, we surely have other sins that we are dealing with, or perhaps have dealt with. In God's eyes, we are all the same. When it comes to causing harm to children, the Bible tells a very harsh truth. Matthew 18:6- But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Proof again that our US Constitution is not even worth the paper it was written upon. According to that archaic document, everyone EVERYONE is entitled to equal protection under the law. I guess Orwell was right - some are more equal than others. He was referring to animals, but it's not too far off the mark as applied here.
I moved out almost three years ago...my sister and older brother were stunned. I explained why, because of illegal aliens high rent, over-crowding,burdensome state beauracracy and I didn't want to be around 40 million people looking for food and water when a natural (or not natural) event happens.
You forgot to mention six dollar a gallon gas, electricity rates that are five times as expensive as most sane states and the continuing erosion of a law-abiding citizen's second amendment rights. And your siblings didn't understand why you were leaving???
Ken: You left right around the time the Democrats obtained super-majority status in both houses of the legislature. That's what began the state's accelerated Rocket Ride to Utopian Hell. But you already knew that.

ReplyDeleteWe're doomed
One of these new laws probably will tell us that it is illegal to defecate in front of the house of QWERTY+ people, but that it is OK everywhere else.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I get the idea pretty boy's afraid to come out of the closet.
ReplyDeleteI bet he has sword fights with Trudeau all the time...but you have to realize that Nancy exposed her body to him, and there is no fixing that....
DeleteI wonder if Barack is the meat in that sandwich game.

ReplyDeleteYou're referring to Animal Farm by Upton Sinclair? Referencing some animals are more equal than others....

ReplyDeleteSame. It's not the California I once loved. I thought it was bad when I left in '16 but now?
