Hey, it was a rough neighborhood and the dawg was going strapped. Haven't you seen that photo of the dog in the front seat of a car, in harness with a holstered Glock?
I read something similar to this awhile back, old man out bird hunting told his bird dog to load up in the dog box. Apparently he laid the loaded shotgun on the tailgate of the truck. When the dog loaded up and stepped on the trigger, the old man didn't see another sunrise.
If it had been a cop that got shot it would be considered poetic justice
