The New York City Police Department on Tuesday agreed to scale back its enforcement of street protests like those that erupted after the death of George Floyd in 2020, enacting a series of reforms including banning the tactic known as "kettling."
Kettling involves creating a cordon of police officers to surround a crowd in order to control it. Critics say the tactic ensnares lawful protesters and innocent bystanders.

"street protests like those that erupted after the death of George Floyd" In other words Democrat approved protests only.
ReplyDeleteAnybody whois still standing and watching is no longer an innocent bystander....fuck 'em....grab them too....
ReplyDeleteThe bitch Letitia James strikes again !
ReplyDeleteI think "ketteling" should be used more often. I would have blocked all side streets and forced the "peaceful protesters" into a large chain-link fenced area with one exit. As they come out, arrest, process, and jail pending a court date. IF anyone that was not positively confirmed to be rioting or aiding such, release them on the condition they could be arrested if more info comes to light or they are caught doing anything.
ReplyDeleteThe organizers of most of these protests try to say those were not part of our group, BS! You should have to vet anyone that wants to join, check their backpacks and if destructive items are found, turn them over to the police. Same with when they commit crimes, separate from and isolate them while pointing them out to the police. If they don't want to take these "common sense" measures, they are encouraging the criminal element.
