VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. - A Volusia County couple was arrested after staff reported that a teen came to school with roaches in her book bag on Tuesday, deputies said.
Samantha Acker and Christopher Rounds were both arrested for child neglect after deputies arrived at the family's home finding it to be in deplorable conditions, arrest records show.
It must've been exceptionally bad to be arrested. When I was in school, there were the sometimes daily, certainly weekly check for lice, weevils, insect eggs, and vermin bites.
Then again, these days parents get arrested for letting their spawn play in the front lawn. I wonder if some lawyer has come up with a sure fire defense against such crap.
