The sad part is, the dog will surely be put down because of the dumbass owner's actions.
It used to flat piss me off to watch people feed their dogs weed or exhale a toke into their faces. I mean, just because it relaxes us and makes us feel mellow doesn't mean it does that to the dog.
If they put the dog down, they're putting the wrong one down. Should be the dipsh*t that pulled that stupid trick.
ReplyDeleteWhen we got our GSD mix she was suffering from PSD ( my diagnosis) from running loose and being abused for her first year. She was scared of everything. The vet prescribed Prozac and gave us a sheet warning that Prozac in some dogs could cause "disinhibition", in other words, a non biter could become a biter. But in ours, she just went crazy. Later they tried another drug which didn't help so they just kept increasing the dose. The dog became much calmer when we weaned her off. Over the seven years we've had her she's mostly just become a regular dog with occasional spells. No use talking to the vet about behavior. It's just our fault.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, my dog is as much a reprobate as I am I guess. She loves Bakies, beer, and chips, not in that particular order. Being 100 lbs, she only likes about half a cup of beer before she is done. Her reaction to bakies is fairly mellow, so every once in a while she will come looking for some, and I will blow it over to her. Perhaps it boils down to how is the dogs psychology, are they naturally aggressive or physically/emotionally abused? This is my second dog that liked it, not all dogs do. I had another little dog that didn't enjoy it, so she abstained after the first time. Both my large breeds were a different story.
ReplyDeleteOur vet has pointed out more than once that THC is like poison to some canines. Had a neighbor's pup spend a night in the hospital from gummies.
