Headlines sell stories

HOUSTON - A young woman is dead after a tragic accident in Southwest Houston. As officers tried saving the 21-year-old woman, fireworks inside the car exploded, keeping her from being rescued.

The Chevy Camaro smashed into a tree so hard, it ripped the car in half, causing the vehicle to burst into flames.

The way the scene in the article was described, it was a total conflagration but the headline of the story says it was fireworks that kept them from rescuing the woman?

    4. Officials identified the driver as “Emma”. They used her license tag which read “Em 80”

  2. I don't think there was ever a chance of rescue. The fireworks just delayed the body recovery.

  3. My buddy says that she was in a badly twisted part of the car, believe he said car was torn in half, and once the fireworks got going, there wasn't any time to pry her free. Quite tragic...
