The Diocese of Stockton issued a warning on Friday about people posing as Catholic clergy members by using the identities of priests in Mexico.
According to a release from the diocese, the imposters have been engaging in fraudulent activities and conducting unauthorized celebrations such as baptisms, confirmations, communions and house blessings under false pretenses.
