Accept That Savagery Is the True Nature of the World – and Deal With It

If you want an indicator of how lost Western civilization has become, go to your kids’ school and check their rules on fighting. Most likely, you’ll find out if two kids get into a fight, both get suspended, regardless of whether one was a punk bully who started it and the other was simply defending himself or some little kid. This is a moral disaster, of course – violence in the defense of what is right is a moral obligation and a symbol of a greater rot within society. This is the kind of rule created by middle-aged, divorced cat women who can neither find nor satisfy a man and live in a tranquil bubble of affluent, frivolous safety and security created by their harder, worthier forbearers who understood the world's true nature.

  1. Like it or not hate is just as valid human emotion as love. You can inject religious morality and government laws to bring a little civility to the culture's population, but Mother Nature's basic survival instincts coupled with the unique human ability to reason negate the morality/civil rules in the end.

  4. In 6th grade, 1975-ish, a bully kicked a girl in our class. I launched out of my desk, backed him up and had him against the lockers. I got pulled off by a teachers aide. We both got licks. He wanted to "be buds", but I told him he got off light and I wouldn't hold back next time. He kept his distance after. They never asked why I was working him over. The rot has been running through public life for decades.

  5. They call it "zero tolerance" for violence, but what it really means is, "Don't notice that it's always the black kids attacking others". If each child was held personally accountable for his behavior, the black-white suspension gap would grow exponentially and some very, very uncomfortable truths might be exposed.

  6. If you are Black, free pass. The rest of you are punished. When I was a kid, fight, shake hands, hope mom didn't find out.

  7. That ranks right up there with every child gets a trophy YMCA soccer league with women running the whole show and a few men who got drafted in to be coaches. Don't keep score, everyone wins! Even the kids could see the BS and keep count themselves on who won.

  8. One of the reasons why it's done this way is simple- kids don't understand nuances of self defense. Two kids agree to meet at the tree during recess to fight it out, and they think that the kid who didn't throw the first punch is merely defending himself. Or one kid will goad the other into throwing the first punch before playing the innocent victim. Kids will also get friends to swear that the other kid threw the first punch.
It becomes very difficult to discern which of the kids fighting is the guilty party, and usually turns out not to be one aggressor, but a mutual decision to fight. Complicate it with other kids (mostly the black ones) jumping into the fight on one side or the other because "he was hittin' muh cousin'"
In these cases, it's become easier to just suspend everyone for fighting.

    1. I get that that's the reasoning. I even understood it when I was a kid, and some other kid decided that pushing me was a fun move, because he figured I wouldn't fight back because I didn't want to get in trouble.

But I don't think anyone ever played out that that ALSO meant that as soon as I was in the fight, I had absolutely NO reason to back down. I was already in trouble, may as well teach the other kid that I intended to get my money's worth.

    2. Maybe in some situations and you are also talking about mutually agreeing to combat.
What WiscoDave, and many of us are, talking about is the bully, who is frequently known to school officials, finally get his due and both kids get punished.
Almost all of the recent changes in discipline, testing and other aspects are to protect minorities who are unrully and have severe anti-social tendencies that ruin education for the rest of the kids.

  9. How many women are in positions of authority now compared to the old days? It used to be common that men would be in command and women would be taking care of the home. Now women are in command and men are doing their best to avoid the summons to HR for hurting a woman's feelings.

  10. I taught my son and then my grandson to not be a bully or go around starting trouble but if trouble came for you do whatever you need to do then call me... I will back you 100% if you're in the right come hell or high water..

  11. I had a friend on fb post this as a response:
“ SAVAGERY? Yes, columnist Kurt Schlichter was correct in explaining that savagery is the normal state of mankind. What he did not explain is why we in Western civilization (basically Europe and America) find it so hard to accept that fact. That is because the society we have grown up in regards savagery as the exception rather than the rule. How has this happened? Unlike the rest of the world, the ideals of Western civilization have been formed by two millennia of Christian influence. This influence has been imperfect, of course. (Robert Browning explains that a man’s reach exceeds his grasp.) But the continuous reaching for Christian ideals, through the slow passage of time, has formed Western civilization as distinctly different from other societies that have not experienced that influence.”

  13. as a brand new supervisor on a 3rd shift gig right after I got out of the military, I had one employee randomly attack another (he was off his meds). when the plant manager came in he told me he was planning to fire them both under the company's "no tolerance" policy. I told him that the 2nd guy had a right to defend himself and I would walk out if he fired them both, then help him file a lawsuit for unlawful termination. PM backed down, and I ended up with his job. I taught my kids to ask them to stop, then ask them to stop or you'd stop them, then if that didn't stop the bullying, to retaliate with malice and stop it once and for all. like "Anonymous 3:38 PM" said, i'd have their back 100%.
