Another Hugo Chavez-style idea on electricity rates from California's one-party regime

Cash-strapped California has proposed to set electricity rates based on one's income, not one's consumption.

What could go wrong?

According to San Diego's right-leaning county supervisor, Jim Desmond:

  1. Imma gonna run an extension cord to my rich neighbor so that he gets to, for cheap, use as much electricity as he wants. For Ten Percent of course.

  2. I can't wait to find the poorest guy in California so I can hook up a bunch of bitcoin miners.

I mean...I know it's pretty much worthless to attempt to mine bitcoin...I'm more interested in contributing to the financial and societal collapse of California.

    1. Regarding the financial and societal collapse of California, it's well underway as we speak. But your kind thoughts and ill-wishes are greatly appreciated anyway.

  3. If you look deep enough into the 2,000-page proposal mandating this income tiered electric billing bullshit you'll find millionaires like all the Hollywood assholes, doctors, lawyers, politicians, Social Media and computer company owner/directors will be exempt.

  4. Of course everyone is truthful on taxes + how many don't even pay taxes?

  5. And the rate structure would involve monthly fees that are unrelated to actual consumption, so NO ONE would have any incentive to conserve electricity.
