The protest started around 7:45 a.m. and no cars were able to get into San Francisco for hours. Westbound lanes of the bridge could be seen empty as traffic backed up and all lanes didn't reopen until just before noon.
Images show cars blocking the lanes on the eastern span of the bridge as the protesters call for a cease-fire in the Middle East.

That bridge connecting Oakland to San Francisco is a major fucking hassle anyway, even on a normal day.
Approaching from the east during the morning commute, once the bridge comes into sight and we're talking maybe a mile, mile and a half away, you've got another hour before you even get on the bridge.
Couple of CAT9s would have solved the problem.
ReplyDeleteShould have just dumped the cars over the side of the bridge.
ReplyDeleteTreat the protester's cars as if they were guns used in a crime, put them in the crusher immediately. Anyone whose loved one died because they couldn't get to the hospital in time should sue the protesters.

Keep in mind that the terrorist element that so freely comes across our borders is watching and learning about things to target.
ReplyDelete"Abandoned cars"??
ReplyDeleteToss 'em over the rail.
Don't any of these people have jobs
ReplyDeleteSure. Their IRS returns probably list their occupations as "Professional Shit Disturber".
DeleteEither that or "Community College Adjunct Professor".
In fact they do work for "Irritating Commuters, Inc" and believe it or not they're members of the AFL-CIO Bridge Blockers union.
DeleteProtesting and wokeness are the providence of the rich and the privileged. Everyone else has to go to work.
DeleteA lot are teachers and other social positions or trust fund babies.
DeleteMorons! They think san fransisco commuters control the war in gaza? There is no connection between their actions and their goals. They are just being dicks.
ReplyDeleteThere was a ceasefire in the Middle East until a few weeks ago.

ReplyDeleteWe drove down to San Francisco for Thanksgiving in 2008. It was my wife's idea. Crossing the bridge going into town was no problem. The eastbound freeway was a brutal traffic jam, from a few miles east of the bridge all the way in across the bridge. We made damn sure to get an early start when it was time to go home.
All of the towed vehicles should be dropped off in East LA.
ReplyDeletePut them up for auction.
DeleteThey can sell the cars too.
