With retail theft numbers in big cities from Los Angeles to New York and Atlanta on the upswing, researchers say that retail crime is now sharply on the rise across the country, costing businesses that took part in the Retail Security Survey upwards of $112 billion in losses in 2022. Most of that comes in the area of external thefts, which include merchandise lifted by organized theft rings.
Such thefts happen everywhere but yeah some places are more affected then others, what is hard is stopping it
ReplyDeleteIt wouldn’t be hard to make it stop, the problem is it would be racist to make it stop.
DeleteI wonder who the perpetrators are. Hmmmm. Oh yeah, I know.
ReplyDeleteWhen the doc gives me 2 months to live and I have spent all my money, I can be a security guard for them.
ReplyDeleteIsn't interesting? When the Mob ruled Chicago, there were deaths/murders in the mobster population--but retail stores didn't experience the kind of theft that's occurring today. And woe be the people who robbed a store/bar under Mob protection--they tended to end up in the hospital permanently disabled/disfigured--if not floating in Lake Michigan "pour encourager les autres" as they say in Fwench.
ReplyDeleteAhh the parasite class, steal and rob, and when a store closes then loudly complain about the lack of stores in the 'hood because the store operators are racist .
ReplyDeleteHow to make snatch and grab thieves think twice. I'd put Kyle Rittenhouse posters in the windows and the latest pistol targets on the walls with "Most Accurate Employee of the Month" underneath. Also plaques with slogans like "Go Ahead Make My Day" and spent brass sprinkled about the place.
ReplyDeleteSpin
Close the retail stores. Can't loot what isn't there.
