Commentary: Working Class Is Fully Aligning Behind the GOP

There was a time when the Democratic Party maintained a moderately believable facade as the voice of the middle class, claiming to represent the interests of blue-collar families and rural America while condemning Wall Street elitists, but that political dichotomy belongs back in the 2010s.

The modern Democratic Party is now inarguably the party of coastal elitism, censorship, and distain for the working class, with Democrats concentrating themselves into a few extremely wealthy regions with economic and political climates that do not represent the rest of country.

  1. I dunno, the heavy union areas still have a great deal of support of the Dems.

You'd think the average union dude would be smarter, seeing how the Dems are destroying the manufacturing in the country and all, but they vote how the union tell 'em to, and therefore they vote Blue.

    1. I was a union member most of my adult life. Every time we had a State or presidential election, the union bosses would walk through the job and hand out their recommendations on how we should vote. I would take that to the voting booth with me and vote the exact opposite.

    2. Yeah, maybe that's true for you, Ken, but around here the Steelworkers all vote whatever the Union says to do. If it weren't for them (and the other unions), there'd be no Dems ever elected.

    3. Oh trust me, I know me and my buddy Woody were pretty much the exception as far as that goes. Most of the people out at the warehouse gave zero fucks and had no knowledge of politics. If they even picked up a newspaper, it was only to read the sports news.

At the ammo plant, it was the exact opposite. I'd say 90% of the people out there were staunch conservatives. The only ones that voted liberal were the union stewards.

    4. My union has been telling me for 17 years to vote D for my job. This most recent contract negotiation they told us we finally had the most "labor friendly administration" in over 50 years. It's important because in my industry the companies are deregulated but the labor is still bound by 100 year old regulations determining exactly how we can or cannot negotiate....

So we get the most "labor friendly administration" in 50 years....and it orders us to accept the agreement offered by the companies and tells us if we strike we go to jail.

Watching the reality clear the eyes of a bunch of my coworkers almost made that not painful.

Then there are the others who do the old "it would have been worse without them" BS.

  2. While I have no doubt that working class folks are pissed off exponentially, alignment with the 'gop' isn't a given imho. The rino ring leaders et al have proven their unreliability when they're trusted with power. Anybody who doubts it, reference 2016-2020.....And even with the extra numbers, come ballot day, the donkeys/asses just print more, import more.

    1. Yep, it's always been the Globe Trotter's vs The Generals, a game. Take the suckers money, give them a little entertainment, feather your nest. Until Clinton and the Commies figured how to end the Republic.

  3. Irrelevant. The left proved in 2020 and again in 2022 that they decide who "wins" an election, not the voters.

  4. The gop? Puleeze... The working class has woken up to the fact that none of the sob's give a shit about any of us.

  5. The GOP is just the worthless spineless controlled opposition of the Dems. Tell me: What have they done about election integrity? What have they done about getting us out of foreign wars? What have they done about rolling back gun control or the welfare state? What have they actually done about the weaponization of the FBI and the CIA and the IRS? What have they done about the criminal grifter in the white house? I'll wait right here.

  6. Like it matters. The entire country could vote 80% republican but the polls will come back with a democrat winning the race. And the "3 percenters" will sit at home doing nothing but jerking themselves off about being the defenders of thr republic.
