Fear among South Korean citizens is beginning to spread after more than 30 confirmed or suspected bedbug reports were filed across the country, according to the government joint countermeasures headquarters on Wednesday.

Thirty cases? Thirty? Hell, any Nashville apartment complex can beat that.
Eh, I don't see why it's such a big deal. From what I understand (a good friend married a Korean and lived there for years) head lice is endemic in that population anyway. As in, EVERY Korean has lice, and deals with it by rubbing vigorously while showering to keep the population down to tolerable levels. In other words, why are they bothering? They already have parasites, what's one more?
ReplyDeleteIt's not even like head lice are difficult to get rid of. Three applications of the "Listerine" solution works just fine. And unlike bedbugs, you don't have to do anything to kill them off in your environment, as head lice can't survive away from your head for more than a couple hours.

Gook bed bugs? Are they yellow with slanted eyes and are they the favorite salad topping garnish that replaces bacon chips?
ReplyDeleteThe difference between South Korea and Nashville is that the leaders in S. Korea actually care about the citizens.
ReplyDeleteNever saw any such thing in my time in the ROK. What I did see was the whole country being saturated with insecticide every day.
ReplyDeleteI was in ROK and trucks sprayed the streets every night for mosquitos, the rats were in the streets after dark.
