Number 8 Australian magpie swooping a kid. September to October (Spring) the male magpies protect their territory by swooping intruders like kids on bikes. They can sometimes draw blood and have occasionally blinded the eye of an unlucky victim. Apparently in breeding season the male magpies testicles swell up to an enormous size making them quite irritable. I would be irritable too, I guess.

ReplyDeleteGrumpy - I think I can safely speak for the majority here. We are irritable pretty much all of the time and sympathize with the magpie.
