City people, I swear

TAMPA, Fla. - A routine feeding time for a Florida woman's flock of chickens took an unexpected turn when the birds abruptly froze in place.

The bizarre incident happened outside Brianna Antionette's Tampa home in late November.

She's probably one of those that blamed Producer's Pride feed when her chickens quit laying last winter as most chickens do. Speaking of which, did you notice those allegations came to an abrupt stop when the days starting getting longer, the weather warmed up and their hens started laying again?

My birds have reacted the way hers did when a hawk flies overhead, and they've also hauled ass for cover, depending on how close that cover was.

  1. If you put a light on a timer your chickens will lay all winter.

    1. True, but it stresses the hell out of them. They need that down time to recuperate from molting.
