German Military’s Stark Warning: Prepare for ‘Defensive War’
Germany’s top military officer, Inspector General Carsten Breuer, has issued a stern warning: the nation must prepare for a “defensive war.” A significant departure from the usual military stance in Germany, Breuer’s words underline growing concerns over potential threats, the specifics of which were not elaborated upon. The implications are clear, however – the Bundeswehr, Germany’s armed forces, must be on high alert and ready to respond to any potential military aggression. This call to arms underscores the vital importance of readiness and resilience in an increasingly uncertain security landscape.

Their biggest problem is the immense Muslim population. They need willing to defend German Culture.
ReplyDeleteBut then they’d be called racist and that’s way worse than being bred out of existence.
DeleteAre not all wars defensive to some degree at least on one side
ReplyDeleteOf course. This is why it matters so much who *started* it. It's also the basis for the LP NAP (non-aggression-policy). And.. of course, it gets even muddier here, as aggression can be in the eye of the beholder as much as in the intent of the "aggressor". "you started it by having an ugly face" Take solice in the fact that none of this is remotely new, and has ever been thus. Like "consent", this matter is not going to be "resolved", but that fact does not change how important it is to the basis of ethics, morality, hypocrisy, war, and peace. So do you homework.... and then keep doing it. You're not going to get it right, but that's no excuse for not continually trying to do so.
DeleteGermany has some time left.
ReplyDeleteRussia first will take Ukraine, and then will have to take Poland before they get to Germany.
There IS a way out though.
Neville Chamberlain, calling Neville Chamberlain!
Never happen.
DeleteIt's taken Putin 30 years to fix Russia from failed communism lesson.
He's publicly stated 'fixing' muslim-invaded western Europe is the same as tilting at windmills.
Bite-me Biden, Nikki Haley, Linsey Graham and the military industrial complex approve this message.
ReplyDeleteDefensive war against an already present invader..... when the Krauts decide to get rid of the arabs, it WILL be another final solution. Those l'il bitty grandmas are bloodthirsty when pissed, and they will be royally pissed.
ReplyDeleteThose woke pansies wouldn't last an month. Buncha surrender monkeys!

Germany has chronically under-funded its 2% of GDP commitment for military spending, relying on the U.S. to bale them out in case of war with Russia. Fortunately for them, Russia will take years to rebuild a creditable threat to NATO, after their embarrassing performance in Ukraine.
ReplyDeleteYep.
DeleteWish someone would tell over a million Ukrainian widows how 'embarrassed' grid square artillery is.
Considering the fact that they are doing embarrassingly poorly, against a nation with a modern air force, I wouldn't have high expectations for them.
DeleteU of Saigon has it correct. Germany has spent it's military money on Social Programs and funding Green programs.....there isn't the military that it had in the 70's and 80's
ReplyDeleteNot much to "defend" with anymore.
LOL U of Saigon 68.. Cute USA 2nd Place Award Southeast Asia wargames.
ReplyDeleteI suspect Russia is in far better shape than we are led to believe. War is expensive and Russia's national debt AFTER Western (Read American) Sanctions and theft is SNIP:
Russia recorded a Government Debt to GDP of 17.20 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product in 2022. Government Debt to GDP in Russia averaged 20.22 percent of GDP from 1999 until 2022, reaching an all time high of 92.10 percent of GDP in 1999 and a record low of 6.50 percent of GDP in 2009
Now let's talk about America's Government Debt vs GDP.
Generally, Government debt as a percent of GDP is used by investors to measure a country ability to make future payments on its debt, thus affecting the country borrowing costs and government bond yields. Compare The United States recorded a Government Debt to GDP of 129 percent of the country's Gross Domestic Product in 2022
BTW same source so apples to apples numbers here.
Germany like Britain killed itself. As is most of Europe with the U.S. not far behind.
ReplyDeleteNo Sympathy
If a comment is more than one paragraph, does anyone really read it??
ReplyDelete@Luis-Don'tWriteABook
TL;DR.
DeleteEurasia has always been at war with Oceania.
ReplyDeleteSo the German people that were told to heat their homes with candles will have to make sacrifices for this? What do they have left?

This short article seems like one of countless others produced to shift public discourse, sentiment, and ultimately, support for Ukraine. Germany should defend itself from the current invasion, rather than worry about the Russian boogieman. The Kiev government has been poking the bear by killing ethnic Russians since at least 2013-2014 and woke up the bear. Russia is not in good condition to go conquering across Europe and Putin is too old for it.
ReplyDeleteBias: I would love to see the rise of a Slavic union, led by Russia. It's time we got our turn and get to tell the rest of the world of piss off.
