A lawsuit filed at the end of last week in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee names Secretary of State Tre Hargett and Elections Coordinator Mark Goins.
Per state law, third-party candidates seeking to be listed on general election ballots as members of their party (rather than being listed as Independents) must capture signatures equal to 2.5 percent of the number of votes cast for all gubernatorial candidates in the most recent election for governor.

Every time I've gone to vote, there's been one choice on the ballot - the UniParty.
RFK jr hanging with Epstein and Maxwell is a sign that he is no different.
ReplyDeleteLibertarians in Georgia always get enough votes to be on the ballot and their one function is to throw races into runoffs where the Democrat section of the UniParty always wins. If for no other reason, the Lib's position on immigration is not for me. I saw one big Libertarian say that there should be no national borders. Anyone should be able to go anywhere they want. I guess they won.
ReplyDeleteA law requiring third party candidates to present signatures to be eligible but that doesn't require GOP or DNC candidates to do so is prima facie discriminatory and should be overturned as a requirement. The rules must apply equally to everyone or they are nothing but arbitrary decisions created to give certain groups an unfair advantage.
