Noise cameras? Is there anything in NYC that isn't regulated?

New York City is set to expand its draconian efforts to rid the city of unwanted noise by finding drivers up to $2,500 for honking their car horns.

Currently, NYC has seven noise cameras, costing the taxpayer $35,000 each to install.

The city plans to install more noise cameras in at least 5 per borough by the end of 2023.

  1. They got gunshot detection systems in some cities so this NYC noise camera might serve a dual purpose. Hear the drive by gunshots and fine the driver for a loud muffler.

  2. I got an indulgence for living in new york city. It. Sucks. And people there blow their horn while driving b/c it alerts others to your wild aggro driving. I hated every minute of it. I'd back this law.

  7. Muslim call to prayers blasting all over the city and blocking intersections by Muslims is all okay there, though.
