    1. I think there was a lot more going on than perimeter gaps. To me, it looks like the building starting to shift due to a land slide or something similar.

    2. I’d be moving outta that building immediately.

    4. Nope, building is cooling in the night and contracting, tile right up to the wall and its got no place to go. Rookie mistake and very common with DIY. Makes a hell of a bang too.

  3. #4 Somebody forgot to tape off their drop area, looks like. Just because OSHA doesn't exist there is no excuse for dangerously sloppy workmanship.

  5. #7 -- reminded me of the "Saigon cowboys" --young punk Vietnamese kids who would ride alongside M151 on a motorbike that was taking a guy to Tan San Nut airport to catch an R&R flight and try to steal luggage /whatever.
The bike driver would position the bike close alongside the 151 and the passenger punk in the back would reach into the 151, grab the R&R guy's luggage, and quickly hightail down some crowded side street, never to be found.
It happened a couple times to guys in my area -- and it pissed me off
So, on one trip, I rode along .
Ignoring the ludicrous big overhead sign on Route 1 for vehicles entering Saigon from the north -- that said, "No loaded weapons beyond this point") -- I took a .45 and a concealed shoulder holster with me. I rode in the left back of the 151, Sarge was driving, as he knew the route well, the lucky guy going on R&R was right front, and his suitcase was on the right rear seat next to me
Not to be disappointed, about a mile or two before Tan San Nut, a couple "cowboys" started scoping us out
I watched carefully as the driver of the bike positioned it alongside the 151
but just as the bike passenger went to grab the suitcase, he realized he was looking at the barrel of that .45 about 10" from his face.
I never knew eyes could open that wide !!--
He frantically got the bike drivers attention, and when the bike driver turned around to see what was going -- he was now the one looking at that .45 barrel.
He turned the motorbike so fast to get down a side street that he plowed thru a sidewalk vendor stand.
We all laughed the rest of the way to Tan San Nut, and upon arrival, celebrated with a couple tacos from good Mexican restaurant inside that base.
