LAWRENCE COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — There’s horsepower and then there’s HORSEpower. During Monday’s major snowfall across Middle Tennessee, many good Samaritans lent a helping hand to drivers who were stuck in the muck.
An SUV ended up in a ditch on Buffalo Road in Ethridge around noon but help was on the way, courtesy of a group of men with horses who were in the area.

ReplyDeleteSure looks like an Amish buggy in the background.
Is the reporter unaware?
Possibly.
DeleteBut probably just the usual ignorant and bigoted commie.
Today news people are not allowed to report favorably about any Christians doing good for others. If it had been muslims with the horses she would have very likely given kudos to their religion for the good deed. Of course we all know from what history that muslims do not assist outside their religion. The Red Cresent as an example.
DeleteYes, Amish. They'll always pitch in. The young team wasn't so sure about the assignment tho.
ReplyDeleteSo in the summers we take the kids horseback riding at this one outpacking place in Colorado. Last summer there was this huge Belgian draft horse, a beautiful and gentle creature. I asked what was up with that? I was told they had a rider coming later that day that weighed 300+ lbs, and was paying extra as the normal weight limit was 225. I'm 6 feet tall and this horses' shoulders were above my head, and me in western boots to boot (see what I did there?).
ReplyDeleteProlly Menonites, they are more liberal about modern stuff and there is a large community in middle TN. Nice folks.
