A retired police officer has been charged with raping a child and possessing child pornography.
David Love, 69, from Radcliff, Kentucky, was arrested on January 4 for charges including rape and sodomy.
In a mugshot released by the police, Love appeared to be badly bruised with a thick bandage under his chin and around his head. It is not clear how Love - who is 6-feet 2-inches tall and 222 pounds - came to be injured.
