Senators Raise Questions about EV Mandates and Subsidies Going to China

The Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources has been scrutinizing the intersection of electric vehicle mandates and supply chains to meet them, and how EV subsidies could empower China, which controls a lot of those supply chains.

Sen. Joe Manchin (pictured above), D-W.Va., chair of the committee, said he doesn’t have any problem with electric vehicles.

”My problem is with an administration whose crusade is to convert everyone over to an EV regardless of where the battery came from,” Manchin said.

  1. EVs are another boondoggle where the Deep State politicos are getting lots of financial encouragement from the lobbyists. Money, money, money makes the D.C. beltway go round.

  2. EV's are great!!!
If you have a private garage (not under or attached to your house), live in a temperate climate (not to hot, not to cold), drive short distances, don't need to haul a trailer, can afford to own another vehicle (preferably an ICE), don't mind that the resale value goes to zero quickly.

Don't mind dying a fiery, toxic death if you get in an crash.

  3. Of course, Sen. Manchin (D-Coal) has no problem with Coal Powered Cars.
