Whoops, our bad

Courtney Price was at home on Wednesday taking care of her one-year-old son, Waylon, when they experienced a terrifying and traumatic altercation with local law enforcement. What should have been an ordinary day took a turn for the worse when SWAT officers broke into the home, searching for a suspect.

In the aftermath of the raid, it was revealed that law enforcement had targeted the wrong home, and tragically, their actions resulted in the baby sustaining injuries. The events that unfolded left the family shaken and seeking justice for Waylon’s suffering.

    1. Yeah, this seems like it should be a jackpot for some legal eagle.

  2. They ought to jettison the chief of police PDQ for a start; I love how he says they went to the right house, as if who's actually living there doesn't matter. Not to mention he insists flash-bangs don't cause any harm to people due to the chemicals they contain---maybe it's no biggie to an adult, but obviously it's far different when you're only a year old. That poor kid.

  3. That's exactly why qualified immunity needs to be repealed. Every one of the officers involved should be serving lengthy prison sentences, especially the lying fuck of a Police Chief.

    1. Yes. As it stands now they just pay out with other peoples' money. Nobody even gets fired.

    2. "Repealing", anything, means swearing your "sacred" honor, your allegiance, to the "rules" (subject to change, with or without, notice) of those that call you "enemy".

  4. They say no chemicals, no big deal , no harm done. Apparently they would have absolutely no concerns demonstrating one of those flash bangs with their baby in the near vicinity?

  5. The police aren't saying "Whoops our bad," They are saying "we're not responsible." and clearly they are not "responsible"

    1. Yup on all counts. "Qualified immunity" FTW. What a pernicious doctrine. But they can still sue the shit out of the police department, get a huge settlement at taxpayer expense. Which they totally deserve, don't get me wrong.

  6. Almost half the Elyria pd was swatted up for this . Chief lied right outta the gate.
He said they threw the flashbang 'outside' the house.
They had been here 5 times and told each time the suspect did not live there. They were told where he was living.
    Now for the best part....
The 25 or so strong swat team breached the house, flashbanged a one year old, wrestled his mother outside, all in search of
    Wait for it

  8. Get the names and addresses for everyone one of these thugs, print wanted posters with this info and staple to every phone pole in the county.

    1. Right. This is the time a community needs to hunt down those incompetent a-holes and drive them out of the state on poles, after the tar and feathers.

  10. The swat team and everyone connected to them FIRED. The family becomes instant multimillionaires courtesy of the city, oh the city pays the taxes for the family too.

  13. There are ways to fix this sort of thing. The police won't like them, but the public will.
