Dramatic video shows a lithium ion battery exploding inside a New York City e-bike shop, sparking a fire that consumed the building in flames in less than two minutes, according to the FDNY.
I will bet the bike was chinesium junk. The Davos crowd want all of us on e-bikes at best as we are confined to their 15 minute cities, and burning down whole buildings does wonders for 'overpopulation'...
I’ve gotten to the point of turning off…. power strips if I’m not using the “electricity eater”…. and unplugging all battery chargers unless needed. Ed357
Looks like they left the charger running.

And as usual, the mouth-breathers were blaming "off-market batteries and chargers" and were calling for more federal regulation of same.
