I am reminded of a Frank Zappa lyric, from his epic opera 200 Motels (Strictly Genteel, or the finale).
God have mercy on the people in England, For the terrible food these people must eat.
I spent time in New Zealand and in England (the latter on the economy for three months). Without a doubt, the worst food I ever had to endure in my life. No lie.
They heat oil in a pan and then drop the eggs in. That way they are sunny side up and not runny. England has the worst food? Most English food is very bland (except the curry which in Indian) but I wouldn’t say it was the worst food I’ve had. That honor goes to Burger King.
Not defending UK food at all here, I am repulsed by some of the stuff they consider staples, but I may actually try that. Though I'll probably add some sort of pork product &/or cheese.
I've eaten that plenty of times, wifely unit is born Irish, we always eat similar foods when we go back to visit and yes they do have some bland food, but i would gladly eat it over deep-fried butter on a stick
🤢🤢🤢🤮

DeleteOddly enough, I found this after I posted my last note.
