New VA rule could prevent veterans from being buried with spouses

A new Department of Veterans Affairs plan has sparked concerns that some veterans could be barred from being buried with their spouses.

The proposed rule change recently published by the VA would begin allowing family members of deceased veterans the option to receive a commemorative plaque and an urn in place of being interred at a national cemetery, according to a report from Military.com

  3. The way things are going our precious veterans should be lucky that they can be buried. I would not be surprised if Crazy Joe and his minions will start sending them off to Soylent Green factories. 😡😡😡😡

    1. They already do...it's called any deployment. Stay away from this government's military.

  4. My mother was buried with my father in a state VA cemetery. Many are the days I thank God that he has not lived to see the present times. He wouldn’t believe it.

  5. Same game, different victims. Promises given, lies delivered. Vets have it the worst, given the weight of service.

We are all lied to over promises from the Government.

  7. The military cemeteries have been filling up quickly with the passing of the WWII, Korea and Vietnam service members. They have not made additional acreage available for cemeteries, as such the need to conserve what they have left has arisen. To be interred in Arlington you just about have to be awarded the MoH nowadays. And just remember as a Vet, you are a second class citizen when compared to an illegal alien.

    1. Husband and wife are buried doubled up in the same plot. Those already deceased will not require additional space. BTW, All vets are now second class citizens.

  9. The Federal government owns well north of 600 million acres in the US. I suspect there's space if needed.
