Starker here, It appears to be a diesel runaway. Oil rings or turbos' oil seal failed. They double the RPM every second, do the math. They overspeed before the fuels run out. Endings are always catastrophic! And you don't want to be anywhere near 5-6 lb pistons flinging at high speed.
