A Lakeland man was sentenced to nearly 30 years in prison after he robbed a Dollar Tree 12 times between 2018 and 2021, the Department of Justice said.
Scott Carpenter Jr. committed at least 13 armed robberies across the Tampa area – 12 of which targeted Dollar Trees.
“ Scotty's not real bright. You can get just as much time and more money by robbing higher end stores.”
How about not robbing stores, getting a job or starting a business and make money the honest way! In the long run Scotty would’ve been a lot happier if he did it that way.
Robbed the same Dollar tree 12 times? It's simply a mental disorder. It goes deeper than merely needing money. The focus on the same object is known as Objectophilia. It's characterized by sexual or romantic attraction focused on particular inanimate objects. Obviously, the store's front door represents a vagina and he's compelled to enter it over and over in order to reach sexual satisfaction.
"13 armed robberies across the Tampa area – 12 of which targeted Dollar Trees." That says he was NOT robbing the same one. The first sentence in the article could be interpreted to mean he robbed just one 12 times, but that's careless writing and no editor.

If that were NY or CA he wouldn't even have been tried and would be out on the street committing more crimes.
