Your Tuesday Morning Florida Report

A Florida man was taken into custody last week after $102,000 was reported stolen from an armored truck at a Circle K gas station, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said that Stefon Carew, 37, went to the gas station — located along State Road 52 in Hudson — on Jan. 3, parking his van next to a GardaWorld armored truck.

Tell me, just how does one unlock the door to an armored car? Inquiring minds want to know.

  1. Just more proof, if it was needed, that there are no criminal geniuses. If he'd worn a mask and covered his plates he probably would've got away with it. But thinking is hard.

  2. He used a skeleton key? Nah, it was an inside job. When asked why he stole the cash from the armored car he replied; "Because that's where the money is".

  3. Look: that door was NOT locked. Simple as that. However, do you think the driver of the Armored Car is dumb enough to say that to the Police and/or his boss? You ask him, you can bet your ass (or your job) that he's gonna say it was locked.

  4. I have 2 questions.
1 - How did the perp unlock the armored car door? Maybe bogsidebunny is right, an inside job.
2 - WTF is up with the author? Did anyone else check out his profile pic at the bottom of the article?? um. . . . no further comment, except he might be able to find job easily as an aid to a congressional staffer ( you know, the kind that takes videos in congressional hearing rooms)
