#3 My "Little Giant" doesn't work that smooth without weight on it. Half the time I need a hammer.

    2. #7 I was doing something similar, although not standing as high on the ladder. A piece of the hot metal I was cutting off fell towards my foot. When I moved said foot, it put me off balance causing me to accidentally kick the ladder out from under my other foot. When I fell, it was on my side, onto the pavement.

That was in 1998 and necessitated (3) three inch titanium screws into the ball socket of my left hip, which broke on my fall to the pavement.

I was more or less out of commission for a year before being allowed to continue normal activities.

  3. A number of those with ladders illustrate how my brother was killed.

That said, loved the bike v. parking garage.

  5. Worked extension ladders for years painting billboards. Very lucky none of this shit happened to me. My ladder days are over.

  6. #3 The reason he was able to lift the ladder section so easily is he has the ladder too vertical. The rule is with your toes touching the bottom of the ladder post, the frame should be at arms length away.
But really, this guy should not be on a ladder ever.

    1. You are correct. Used to use a length of solid copper grounding wire as a safety by tying off the 40' extension ladders to gutter spikes (for those wondering, those are the big nails that hold the gutter to the fascia. Also, wear eye pro. Fiberglass ladders shed small glass fiber all the time.

  10. #3 is genuinely a bad design and I would award damages if he wanted to sue.

  11. After watching a large number of Kenny’s ladder videos I have clearly learned to never cut off huge heavy pieces and let them free fall.
