"This was a really horrific situation," said Vaughn Maurice, the executive director of Stanislaus Animal Services Agency.
Animal services were called to the home on Hollister Street after Adult Protective Services and the Ceres Police Department entered the home to find at least 86 dogs living in "deplorable conditions," the agency said.

When I say right in town, I mean right in town. The house we lived in when Lisa and I got married was only 500 yards due north of Hollister Street.
There's a lot of that deplorable animal shit happening down the mountain in Upstate South Carolina and it's not restricted to dogs. it's chickens, ducks dogs cats and horses. The mug shots of the culprets would make your average slope headed cretins look like angels.
ReplyDeleteWould these be the offspring of married first cousins? Just asking for a British royal friend.
DeleteI'd be willing to bet that the neighbors called complaints into various departments, and got nowhere till some mandatory reporter like a pre-school teacher said something and nobody was able to sweep the reports under the rug.
