LEITCHFIELD, Ky. (WAVE) - A man from Grayson County was arrested after police say he broke into an animal shelter and released more than a dozen dogs from their enclosures.
A member of the county Board of Supervisors was caught half way in a window at the dog pound. She was wanting to rescue her pooch. Dog was taken in for being unlicensed and having bit a number of people.
The county has had a declared rabies epidemic for decades especially due to the large areas of rural ag and feral dog packs.
Worse, she tried to slander the dog cops and sheriff deputies and threatened to use her position to shut the down animal control dept. She then went after the local newspaper for quoting her in an article about her arrest. 'Do you know who I am?', she said during her arrest. Obviously she ignored Rule #1 when finding oneself in a hole.
