CROSSVILLE, Tenn.--33 kayakers in Middle Tennessee were stranded on Monday due to extremely high winds which even caused issues for first responders trying to save the kayakers.

The weather forecasts for Monday called for 25-35 mph winds during the day with gusts up to 50 mph Monday night. It was forecast 3 days before it happened.
Just one of millions of examples of stupid people doing stupid things. In the old days such stupidity was rewarded with death and the gene pool was cleansed. These days the assholes are known as "victims" and their shyster lawyers are planning on suing the national weather service, the local TV news stations the kayak rental service and the first responders for millions.
ReplyDeleteYou really only have to attempt any paddle or oar driven navigation in even a stiff breeze one time to get the idea, so either they didn't bother checking the weather or didn't understand the problem.
ReplyDeleteKayakers = water bicyclist. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteYou beat me to it.
DeleteHopefully Tennessee is among the states who send you a really big bill if you require rescue because of full-on stupidity.
ReplyDeleteThey can't read because it must have been in cursive or no child left behind.....fucktards
ReplyDeleteI heard a teacher call it "no child gets a dime".
DeleteCrossville? Crossville? Nickajack is nowhere near Crossville. It's near Chattanooga. Journalists can't be trusted to get anything right.

Let them stay there until the winds go down and they can get out. Day without food won't hurt.
