An ambulance collided with a moose early Sunday as it responded to another crash, also involving a moose, Ontario Provincial Police say.
The first crash was reported just after 1 a.m. on Highway 60, near Tea Lake in Algonquin Park, police said. A vehicle struck a moose, left the roadway and then hit a tree.
Or as we call it in Canada, Sunday.
ReplyDeleteA friend, a nurse, told me of riding in an ambulance with critical patient racing to meet a helicopter. A drunk driver hit them. The accident happened in an area of limited radio and spotty cell coverage.
ReplyDeletePatient was finally transferred to a 2nd ambulance. After transferring the patient, the helicopter hit the side of a road cut and had to put down. A third ambulance rushed to the hospital . The patient didn't make it.
That happens in rural areas.
