At both the federal and state levels, elected leaders are paying more attention to national security threats stemming from Chinese-owned real estate in the United States.
The totality of Chinese-owned real estate in the United States remains unknown and, under current law, is unknowable. For agricultural land, Chinese-owned acreage reportedly only constitutes a small share of the United States’ total, but has increased rapidly in recent years, suggesting a growing threat that would best be managed now before it turns into a significant problem.
Why not do as the Communist Chinese do? Just appropriate all land owned in the US that is owned by entities from China? Absolutely no reason to spend any money buying any of it back - too bad, so sad. They do it there, so why not here?
ReplyDeleteWe don't do it here because Biden and all of congress are getting kickbacks in billions of yuan.
DeleteLand, You can't take it with you!
ReplyDeleteRemember when the Japanese economy was soaring in the early 90s, Japan was buying up everything they could. It's all still here.
Then it was the Saudis turn.
DeleteWhen destruction is the goal, accidents, mistakes, Ohh,We are So Sorry,,you can point out the stupidity of the policies and the obviousness of where the path will lead, and nothing will be done. It's not as if the border policy is an accident. Intentional, obvious destruction,, and they sue any state that tries to protect its own border.
ReplyDeleteAll the wicked acts being foisted upon the American taxpayer (directly and indirectly) have to come to a head soon. We will either be broke from over-taxation, or conquered by the BIPOC hordes awaiting orders. That is why 2A must stay for the good guys and be halted by the bad guys. It is reckoning time. IMHO.
ReplyDeleteSince china owns congress and the government agencies, I dont see much happening on this front.
ReplyDeleteWell, ya see. If you can find out what land is foreign owned, by whatever country, then ya know what land is available for whatever you like to do.
ReplyDeleteForeign real estate ownership is an asset.
ReplyDeleteMoney comes into the country but the land does not leave. The government can take it with or without payment at any time and the foreigners have no recourse in either local law or International Law.
The owners pay taxes but do not live here and so use no government services. In most cases they need to pay locals to work or maintain the real estate.
Finally, enlightened and sane jurisdictions, which unfortunately excludes much of the USA, impose a foreign ownership tax.
That Sounds good. Problem IS, the people who you are expecting to Do the Right Thing for America
ReplyDeleteARE HOLDING THE GATE OPEN FOR THE FOREIGN HORDES.
So, your Pollyanna CRAP is just vapor.
Wake up
Something is wrong. I speak as a Scot not a citizen of USA. We let hordes of undocumented fighting age young men swarm in. Farmers are being discouraged from doing what they do well. Food processing factories burn. Multi-billionaires, not just Chinese, buy up all the farm land that real farmers cannot afford to run. Fuel, fertilizer, seed, energy prices, are silly. We never have enough money to fix roads and railroads. But lots of money to send to foreign dubious government. We have forgotten how to make and operate safe planes and ships. In fact, do we really make anything? Steel, furniture, electronics, etc.etc. Still, mustn't grumble.
ReplyDeleteUp here in Maine, the authorities are watching more than 250 untaxed MJ grow operations, all operated by Chinese nationals. We have one way up north here that was a former hunting lodge with small 20x20 cabins, owned by Chinese nationals.
ReplyDeleteIt seemed strange when a local contractor installed 400 amp entrances on each building.
No bust yet, though.
They Otta be able to charge their Teslas up right pronto like..
