One way or another

  1. about 12 years ago, I got "talked into" helping a co worker out with his hot water heater.
so made the trip to home defect to get one. at that time started the thousand questions
why 3 year or 4 year or 5 year ones > and shit like that. has to explain that companies had it down pat as how thick the steel had to be to "last" 3 or so years.
then getting it in the truck was fun part. now, I can replace a hot water heater inside of 1 hour if things go right. it took close to 4 hours with my 2 co workers.
but one of them found a new hobby ! he was laughing his ass off watching people load their stuff into their cars or whatever. so, on weekends when he was bored. he would go to home defect and film the clown show. last I heard he was still doing just that. filming morons loading on the weekend. btw, his hot water heater lasted 3 years and 2 months and a few days. and no, he had a plumber do this one. dave in pa.

I wonder if he got any shots of the people who spill a whole gallon can of paint in the parking lot. The HD and Lowe's I go to in Montgomery have blotches that can be seen from space.

    3. When you realize this is how they plan, not just material transport, but their entire lives, it makes ya kinda smug to know you have at least a few more brain cells rubbing together than they have.

  2. That's some nice straight lumber ya got there. Be a shame to damage it.

  3. Between the twisted up lumber and blue cart, I'd say the evidence points to Lowes.

  4. I hauled 10ea 16' TREX boards and a 36" framed door IN a 2 door Chevy tracker before, at the same time. If there's a will, there's a way.

    1. I've built several buildings using the cull lumber. If you understand wood it's not that big an issue.
I built what I intended to be a shop/ store room entirely from warped and twisted. By the time I was done it was a two bedroom house. Even the truss rafters were rejected.

  7. I don't know why he didn't just stack it on the roof & hook the tie downs to the wheel spokes, as I have seen done right here...
