Victorinox introduces the new Swiss Army whatever

The maker of the Swiss Army Knife is working on a new version of the classic multi-tool, which won’t have a blade.

“We are in the early stages of developing pocket tools without blades,” a spokesperson for Swiss firm Victorinox told CNN in a statement Tuesday, adding that they will compliment the existing range of multi-tools rather than replacing them.

  1. I reckon that would be for the English market where the thought of a pocket knife with a small drop point blade gives those Brits the vapors.

  4. Eh, Victorinox is trying to break into the European and Asian markets. I don’t see the big deal.

    They’ve been selling the blade-free TSA-compliant Jetsetter for years. My only bitch about the Jetsetter is the lack of nail file.

  8. I've had Victorinox pocket knives in the past but now I have a Leatherman, more expensive but much better quality. Here in the UK the Leatherman is actually illegal as it has a locking blade.
