Commentary: The New Fundamentalism and the Religion of Politics

Those who would abolish religion and prohibit the free exercise thereof, are themselves religious. Those who would replace religion with the cult of reason, and sacrifice the soul before the altar of science, are unreasonable in the extreme: they are political extremists whose religion is politics.

This religion, with contempt for one nation under God, is in opposition to our civil religion. This religion, with contempt for the idea of God, that God exists, that God is true, that God is just, is without mercy. This religion, with contempt for the sons of Abraham, and of all who are children of God through faith, is a declaration of war against Jews and Christians

As there is no such thing as “no religion,” just worse religions, the religion of politics is one of the worst.

  1. The current "neo-religion" is just another example of the "survival of the fittest" concept. We've evolved beyond the kings and queens of nation. Now it's climb the mountain of control over everyone to get to the apex position of God of the Planet. Humans have too much fucking time and resources on their hands. We were better off eons ago where women kept caves clean, grew food and raised kids while the man went out and killed wooly mammoths.

    1. Starker here,
There have always been some people that live in caves. Most did not and do not. There never was an age of the caveman. Caves are great at preservation. They are not very susceptible to to being scraped away by glaciers or floods or even decay. Stone ages did exist, so you could reference the neolithic or the paleolithic, just not caveman unless you are referring to the 30 million Chinese who live in caves today. (Rant Off)
