Full-Time Jobs Vanish While Americans Race to Take Up Part-Time Work

Americans took up part-time jobs in huge numbers in May as full-time jobs evaporate under President Joe Biden’s economy, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released Friday.

There were around 133.3 million people employed in the U.S. in May with full-time jobs, 625,000 less than the month before, while the number of people employed in part-time jobs surged by 286,000 to just over 28 million, according to the BLS. The total number of American workers collapsed by 408,000 as a result of the loss in part-time jobs to 161 million.

  1. I have my experience. I got laid off a couple of months ago. A few friends went at the same time. I get tons of interviews. I've even gotten offers that were later rescinded due to lack of work. My friends all say the same thing. It's a wild market! I might go learn to weld.

  3. If you are a carpenter, electrician, plumber, roofing, HVAC, mechanic, welder, automechanic or several other craftsman you will seldom find yourself unemployed

  5. Huge surge in migrant jobs while huge drop in native population employment. Let’s not forget none of those “newcomers” had to get vaccinated for entry into the country but Americans had to be vaccinated to keep their jobs. Still don’t believe in the “great replacement”? The commies are just playing the long game and like the monkey said when train ran over his tail “it won’t be long now”.

    1. My grandson has a small grass cutting business, small yards with weedeating are $50 + depending on the yard.... He cuts 5 to 6 a day on average 4 times a week, not bad for a 16 year old...

    2. My, how times have changed. I was 17 years old in 1976 cutting yards for 3 bucks a pop.

    3. I think I was getting $ 5 back in HS but gas was what .40 cents a gallon back then, lawnmowers were maybe $50 and weedeating wasn't a thing I had heard of.
      Times have definitely changed
