All my dogs have always greeted me at the door with tail wagging. It's good to be home. I had a job and there were times I got home a little late. I'd rush home feeling terrible, open the door and say ok Dooley. He was a yellow Lab. I figured he was cross legged and needed to pee. He would just drop his head. He wanted to say hello. I'd say hello, give him pets and he was out the door like a rocket.
Our GSD mix comes to the door carefully. When she's sure it's me, then she goes into action. First, we have to go see my wife and then we can go out. I do the dog walking. It's in our marriage contract along with cutting the grass and if there's one covered parking spot, she gets it.
We had to put down one of our dogs last week. Tucker was a half basset hound/half boston terrier and he gave us 15 years of joy! Yeah, dogs are pretty fucking cool.
