I can think of better causes

A content creator is traveling across the country, advocating to end the sales tax for menstrual products in Tennessee.

Nadya Okamoto has more than four million followers on Tik Tok, and hopes to spread the word about what she feels is an unfair sales tax on products that should be considered essential.

  4. Must have a lot of free time to traipse around the country for that little project. Good grief.

  6. Michigan doesn't tax groceries and medical supplies, which includes tampons. Not sure how the overall tax rate is in comparison to other states.

  8. Food, as long as it's not ready to eat, is not taxed here in sunny Florida. It's one of the only things that isn't taxed here, but at least the government's not getting that little bit. Of course, it's taxed upstream every step along the way.
