Amen to that. Not only do we have a private well but we're total electric with no gas. When the power goes everything goes. That's OK though, it teaches you preparedness for those times that life suddenly turns into a campout which it could very well do on a more long term basis at any moment.
Woodstove in the living room that’ll keep the whole house reasonably warm even in the low double digits. Propane for the cooktop and hot water heater and whole house generator. Only problem is it needs an oil change about every 4 days of continuous running.
There is already a hot dog stand in Home Depot. Walk across the parking lot to Costco, get a waffle maker and the Costco size pancake & waffle mix. You're in business!

DeleteLP is the shit, as long as you have wood back-up.
DeleteA man could freeze to death losing power at 20 below in an electric house.
LP is awesome with a wood backup But, LP freezes below -40 , then its no generator, water or electricity.

Solar panels and a wind generator. I've got a 48 volt battery backup. Best to have a structured array for emergencies.
DeleteFunny shit right there. I think #14 is a great idea after all its a favorite store for most of us.
ReplyDeleteweren't no caps in 1776 just pop rocks on the flintlocks.
ReplyDelete#14...would totally get me into Home Depot more often...but then they'd need to stay open 24/7 and Home Depot shootings would skyrocket...
ReplyDelete14) I would totally support this idea. Say what you will, I like a Waffle House Pecan Waffle.
ReplyDelete#19 all day every day, sorry.
