Attention, anglers! The Georgia Wildlife Resources Division has announced a new freshwater fish state record. Jamie Boyett of Portal, Georgia, caught a record-breaking Spotted Sunfish (0 lb, 12 oz, 9 inches) on June 15 from the Ogeechee River.

ReplyDeleteAs a joke when living on Maui I wrote a good ol Virginny boy and said hell these whales I'm seeing we used to use for catfish bait. He replied, "Hell everybody knows catfish are the top a the food chain."

I think I caught bigger ones than that on the Edisto River but we didn't much care about records, we were fishing for food.
