Gov. Newsom signs transgender parental notification ban in schools

California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Monday signed a bill that prohibits school districts from having policies that require parents to be notified if their child identifies as transgender.

The passage of Assembly Bill 1955 comes after several school districts across the state put parental notification policies in place. Some of those policies have been challenged in court.

  5. I lived out there my last few years in the Army and most of the people I met didn’t seem to be lunatics. Then again, I didn’t get down to the coast much. Eod1sg Ret

    1. I did my last 12 years in the Navy in California (Retired in '93) and one of the happiest days of my life involved Needles in my rear view mirror and the morning sun in my eyes.

  10. Everyone who voted for this bill needs to be prosecuted for an applicable felony, so we can prevent these stupid people from voting, or being elected to office, again.
