We were offered a rare glimpse into Federal's rimfire plant in Anoka, MN to watch how .22 LR ammunition is made. We all know the basic components involved -- each cartridge consists of a case with primer, propellant, and a bullet. Watching them all come together on a massive scale with a choreographed dance of modern automated machinery is a surprisingly gratifying experience.
Wanted to see the powder loaded.
ReplyDeleteThat’s pretty interesting, where does a man go about finding the reloading components for the lowly 22 LR, I’d wadger some one still makes them.
ReplyDeleteI saw a short presentation of just that on a yoo toob channel during the shortage a few years ago. A man came up with a priming method (did he use components from kitchen matches?) and reloader. I'll try to find that video.
