In hindsight, bailing out wasn't very smart

      Obviously they panicked. I'm guessing she saw him bail out so she did the same.

    Acting stupidly is a chargeable offense? Isn't being run over enough? Isn't knowing you injured your friend enough? Or is it that the article writer is speculating there might be a crime there?

    What happened to the two driverless Jeeps?

      Um, the article writer might just be reporting what the police said. If alcohol was involved, it might be a chargeable offense.
