So it's safe to assume they didn't leave a tip either?

Authorities in Missouri say they are investigating a situation where a waitress was assaulted by customers who were refusing to pay their bill.

According to Liahna Bertels, she was working her shift last Friday at the Fish and Company Restaurant in Camdenton when the assault happened.

  1. What assholes, pay your damn bill and stop assaulting people before you end up behind bars although that is very likely to be were you most at home

  2. Both my daughters waited tables in college. Great training. Older one had real troubles w/ the after church Afro crowd in Tuscaloosa, late 90s. Mandatory 18% tip for 8 or more...always refused and theatened to sue.

  3. I dont see anything wrong charging to a credit card at the beginning. But paying cash is an issue. You dont have to use the initial credit card at the end. A brewery I go to has you open a credit card at the beginning.

    1. Especially if you're in a place like that. Doubtless they have fingerprints. How deep was the water there? Did she scream that she couldn't swim? (conjecture)

That brings it up to a felony. We live in Murdaugh-Land, 14th SC Judicial District. They'd get burnt.

  5. Simple.....you order, you pay, we deliver. Breaking the furnishings is the same as buying them, but you were stupid enough to break them....enjoy your scrap, for more enjoyment don't break the stuff as you buy it, just a friendly hint. Sentient beings accept it is nicer to be our guests, behave responsibly, and go home satisfied and alive, welcome and eager for more, as are we all. Making new people is however a long and involved and expensive process, at least when one cares about the outcome, which your progenitors seem to have failed at...please inflict your beastliness elsewhere, because we do not want "hose down the bipedal vermin with flamethrowers and belt-fed firearms" to be a regular item on our menu or scheduled activities, though some exceptions will have to be made on account of the voluntary targets. We deeply care about your wellbeing, almost as much as ours, so please understand this simple fact should your choices force us to exterminate your hive and any who represent it or seek to perpetuate it.

  7. I can't for the day when the restaurants that haven't already closed down will require prepayment before the meal is ordered - just like Mc Donald's.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings to do that, and I would pay cash for the tip, so the server doesn't have to claim anything.

  8. I have walked out of a restaurant on account of the food taking way too long to be served. We had a few drinks, so I left a few bills to cover the drinks but refused to pay for the food that was never brought to the table. Mind you, this after waiting over an hour and seeing other people get served ahead of us. Didn't act like an a-hole or assault anyone, just got up and left.

Really depends on the situation - but the manager should have talked to the people leaving, not the waitress. And yeah, pulling her into the water is a big no-no.
