Joe Biden’s one major accomplishment during his calamitous tenure as president is to abet the legacy media in their head-first dash into permanent and irretrievable disrepute. The legacy media’s self-prostitution in concealing and downplaying Biden’s accelerating senescence, and mindlessly promoting and justifying the assassination of Donald Trump are the final straws that have sealed their fate.

In 2016 they went to their own Mister Rogers land of make believe and told us all ad nauseum that we were about to have the first woman president in an absolute cake walk. Nope. Then in 2020 we were told not to believe our lying eyes because that election was (cue echo chamber here) "the most secure in history". Wrong! And ever since, they've been the Shield of Achilles with regard to not only Joe's obvious decline but his involvement in the administration. It was Biden did this, Biden does that, when we (and by we I mean planet earth) all knew that he didn't and couldn't decide or policy or agenda his way out of a wet paper bag the whole time.

I read a piece earlier today I thought nailed it...Biden sealed his own fate in how badly he f**ked up the Afghan withdrawl. You rescue the civilians first, then the military. And you don't just hand the enemy a fully-functional air base (Bagram). $80 Billion dollars in equipment and ammo.
ReplyDeleteWell now - speaking in favor of a free press but acknowledging "Freedom of the press only applies to those who own the presses". $$$ speak much louder than votes. They have dollars. The problem is, with the restricted ownership (something like 6 companies own 95% of the media?), there are no significant numbers of rabid right-wing extremists to counter the majors ... and who knows what "the middle" is anymore?
