A 46-year-old former live-in caregiver in Illinois will likely spend the rest of his days behind bars for killing a 75-year-old woman in his care, beating her to death after becoming frustrated with how loud she kept the volume of her television.

A life sentence is too good for him.
I had a late aunt who also kept the TV volume high; because she couldn't hear and wouldn't wear a hearing aid. I'll bet the same applied n this case as well.
ReplyDelete46 years old. Life on the inside the way it is, he may live another 20-25 years (or not). But when word gets around why he's there, they won't be fun.
ReplyDeleteMost would agree the caregiver gave her the wrong kinda care.
ReplyDeleteI hope he gets the same type of care in prison that child abusers receive. I'm hard of hearing and hearing aids make the sounds even more confusing and jumbled. Limbaugh once said that the only disability that the person who has it gets blamed for is being hard of hearing and I receive proof of that regularly. I've spent a ton on hearing aids in hope that they would improve my hearing and all I've got for that is a ton of debt.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she was watching The View and Morning Joe, wouldn't that be extenuating circumstance?
ReplyDeleteI guess ear plugs or muffs never occured to him. How likely he bullied her before finally snapping?
ReplyDeleteHopefully a life sentence means life without parole. In the meanwhile, let every inmate who ever had a mother gave a go at him.
My mother keeps the TV extremely loud because she can't see or hear well. She lives in her own little detached apartment at my brother's house. I'd do worse to that nurse than put him in jail if he did that to my mother. Cops would never find him.
